New Addington Little League Football

End of season Presentations:

At the end of each season we hold an Annual Presentation of Awards Ceremony where the trophies are handed out to teams and individuals in recognition of the hard work the boys and their managers have put in during the year.

The lists of the teams which have won Cup Finals and League Championships over the years are shown on other pages of this web site, as are the names of those people who have won individual awards.

It must be stated that other than the team trophies none of the mainly individual awards are rewards for skill and physical ability - they are all for general attitude and behaviour. It is perhaps also worth mentioning that to ensure every player can feel included we present an individual memento to every boy.

This season, 2008/09, the Awards Ceremony took place at Addington High School in the afternoon of Saturday 20th June.

Invited guests included Cllr. Brenda Kirby (a former Mayor of Croydon and a founder member of the league in 1976); Jane Evans represented the Jack Petchey Foundation; Tim Davies, Head Teacher of Addington High School; Linda Shute, Head Teacher of Rowdown Primary School, George Sarkodie, Head of Sport & Green Spaces at LBC; Doug Lewin, a former manager and treasurer and current auditor; Barrie & Gladys Semark, team managers in the ‘70s and sponsors of the rain jackets used by substitutes in all of our teams.

Photographs were taken of all award winners but unfortunately some are blurred and therefore unusable - apologies to those whose pictures don’t appear on the next two pages which are divided between Academy and Premier players.
