As more photographs are now become available we have opened this second page on which to display pictures from the past. New pictures will in future be added at the bottom of this ‘Nostalgia’ page, not at the top as previously, and when it is thought that too many are on display we’ll remove some of the earlier placings.
This picture is of a team of Little League players from two different squads who were entered by Alan Streeter into a Carnival 5-a-side competition at Milne Park, obviously quite successfully!
The players are - in the back row Ollie K (Terriers), Clint M (Tigers) and Gary M (Terriers). In the front row Danny R and Daryl D (Tigers) Kyle V (Terriers) and Danny S (Tigers)
There is one little boy who appears in all three photographs. In the picture above he is proudly showing the trophy he and his team have won. Above right he is in the front row (third from the right) and in the photo on the right he is facing the camera but half hidden behind player No. 3. He later became quite a successful manager of a mini-soccer then a main league team.
Who is he?

Pride in holding the reward for a season’s efforts by the player and his team mates!
This is another team made up of players from several Little League squads.
This time they were competing in a Metropolitan Police 5-a-side tournament.
Surely with smiles like these they must have been having a very enjoyable time!

The following items which include a copy of the programme issued for the League’s opening day in 1977 were received from Bob Turner who has recently rejoined us as Manager of the Rangers squad. Bob’s name together with that of our Referee Secretary, Rob.Jeal, is listed as one of our players in that first season!
